Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA)?
The TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) is the regulatory authority for therapeutic goods in Australia. It is a division of the Australian Government Department of Health. The TGA is responsible for regulating and monitoring the safety, quality, and efficacy of medicines, medical devices and other therapeutic products available in Australia.
The primary role of the TGA is to ensure that therapeutic goods available to the public are of high quality, safe to use and perform as intended. The TGA regulates a wide range of products, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, vaccines, blood products, medical devices and complementary medicines.
The TGA assesses and approves new therapeutic products before they can be marketed and sold in Australia. They review scientific data, conduct assessments, and evaluate the evidence to determine whether the benefits of a product outweigh the risks. They also oversee ongoing monitoring and surveillance of therapeutic goods once they are on the market to ensure their continued safety and efficacy.
In addition to product regulation, the TGA plays a crucial role in enforcing compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting inspections, and addressing any safety concerns or recalls related to therapeutic goods. They work closely with healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders, and the public to safeguard the health and well-being of Australians.
This is why Super 23 is a great option for those who are looking for a supplement to help support weight loss safely and increase their focus and energy levels. All Genius Industries products are manufactured in a state of the art TGA Approved facility and are made from high quality ingredients, that are evidence based. All Genius Industries products have been designed to perform exactly as claimed.
What is an Aust-L Number?
An AUST-L number, also known as an Australian Listed Medicine Number, is an identification number issued by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia. It is assigned to complementary medicines that are listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).
Complementary medicines include vitamins, minerals, herbal remedies, homeopathic preparations, and other natural health products. These products are considered lower risk compared to prescription medicines and are regulated differently. Instead of undergoing a full assessment of efficacy, complementary medicines listed on the ARTG must provide evidence of their safety and quality.
The AUST-L number serves as a unique identifier for a specific complementary medicine product. It indicates that the product has met the TGA's requirements for listing and can be legally marketed and sold in Australia. The number is displayed on the product label, packaging, and promotional materials associated with the product.
Consumers can use the AUST-L number to verify that a complementary medicine is listed on the ARTG by searching the TGA's online database. This allows individuals to access information about the product, its ingredients, indications, and any specific warnings or precautions associated with its use.
It's important to note that the AUST-L number is specific to complementary medicines and should not be confused with the AUST-R or AUST-L(A) numbers, which are assigned to registered prescription medicines or registered over-the-counter medicines, respectively.

When is the best time to take Super 23?
In general, it is recommended that fat burners are taken either first thing in the morning or just before your workout. The rationale behind taking it in the morning is that your metabolism is at its slowest when you first wake up.
Taking Super 23 first thing in the morning will act as a kick start to your day. It will also ensure that you get maximum absorption into your bloodstream.
So for maximum effect, we recommend taking (2) two tablets on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before breakfast or your morning workout.
For those who are stimulant sensitive, we recommend taking one (1) tablet two times daily, either on an empty stomach OR with food.
How many bottles should I buy?
For progressive and sustained results, we recommend purchasing a 90-day supply (3 bottles).
When should I start seeing results?
We all know that results don't happen overnight. There are many factors that contribute to our individual weight loss journeys.
Whilst supplementation can certainly assist us in achieving our goals, it will not be effective without healthy nutrition and daily exercise. There is no such thing as a quick fix.
If all of these things are working in conjunction with each other, we have found that noticeable results are seen around the 4-6 week mark.
Naturally, these results will only improve over time if a healthy lifestyle is maintained.
Are there any side effects when taking Super 23?
Generally not, however some users can experience what is called 'Niacin Flush'. It is a common side effect of taking Nicotinic Acid (Niacin), which is contained in Super 23. It is harmless. It appears as a flush of red on the skin, which may be accompanied by an itching or burning sensation.
For some, higher doses of Nicotinic Acid can trigger a response that causes your capillaries to expand, which increases the blood flow to the skin's surface. When Niacin Flush occurs, symptoms typically set in about 15-30 minutes after taking Super 23 and taper off after about an hour.
The good news is, even if you experience Niacin Flush when you first start taking Super 23, it will probably stop in time as people usually develop a tolerance to the ingredient.
What happens if I feel jittery or nauseous after taking it?
Super 23 is a stimulant product. Although natural, taking Super 23 (particularly on an empty stomach) can occasionally trigger a feeling commonly referred to as 'the jitters'. Simply put, it is that feeling of nervous energy coursing through your body, a feeling many of us get after drinking one too many cups of coffee!
The jitters or any feeling of nausea can generally be alleviated by taking Super 23 with food.
If you still feel nauseous after taking Super 23 with food, we would recommend halving your dosage if you haven't already. Failing that, we suggest you cease taking the product.
Can I consume it if I am pregnant and/or breastfeeding?
It is generally not recommended to use a stimulant based product while pregnant or nursing. Super 23 has not been tested as safe and effective for use during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding.
Do I need to take a break once I finish a bottle?
No break required! You can continue taking Super 23 back to back, for as long as you feel the product is working for you.
Can I stack Super 23 with other Genius Industries products?
Yes, Super 23 is a natural product, hence it can be safely 'stacked' with any of our other products!
Can I take Super 23 if I am taking prescription medication?
Genius Industries have NOT conducted any clinical studies pertaining to the effects of our product being taken in conjunction with prescription medication. Hence, we can only provide general information.
If you are considering taking a caffeine supplement (Super 23) while on prescription medication, it's very important to consult with your healthcare provider or pharmacist before doing so. They will have a better understanding of your specific medical condition, prescribed medications and any potential interactions or side effects that may arise from combining caffeine with your medication.
Caffeine is a stimulant that can have various effects on the body, including increasing heart rate, blood pressure and potentially interfering with certain medications. Additionally, some medications may already contain caffeine or interact with caffeine in ways that could be harmful or reduce the effectiveness of the medication.
To ensure your safety and well-being, it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional who can provide personalised advice based on your medical history and current medications. They will be able to assess any potential risks and determine whether it is safe for you to take a caffeine supplement alongside your prescription medication.
Can I take Super 23 in conjunction with other caffeinated products?
Each tablet contains 99mg of caffeine. Super 23 contains caffeine. A cup of instant coffee contains apporximately 80mg of caffeine. Limit the use of caffeine containing products (including tea and coffee) when taking this product.
Caffeine intake more than 200mg per day is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Caffeine interacts with the liver enzyme CYP1A2.
Always consult your healthcare professional before taking in conjunction with other medicines.
Can Super 23 go into a pill dispenser?
Due to the way Super 23 is manufactured i.e. active ingredients and coating process, these tablets are quite sensitive to moisture once it's removed from the bottle. We highly recommend leaving Super 23 tablets in the bottle and not placing them into any pill dispenser for an extended period of time.
